One of my Resolutions this year is to start a blog. A place where family and friends can check in on what is happening in our lives. I'll put posts up once in awhile so you can see what we are up to.
So, I will start off the blog by giving a quick re-cap of 2007. We had a pretty busy, but fun year. The major highlights were:
February- we took our first "family vacation" to Florida, we spent a wonderful few days in Marco Island and got to visit family and friends around Tampa.
April- We hosted an Easter celebration with some of our closest friends in Charlotte.
May- Lans and I went on a 5 day trip to Mexico. We had a fabulous time, but missed Ali.
June- We celebrated Ali's first birthday with a Kindermusik birthday party
July- We spent a wonderful 4th of July in Ohio. We went to the Greenbriar Resort in WV for a week of family fun! I bought a Baby Boot Camp franchise, which I will be launching here in Charlotte in a couple weeks. (more about this in a later post)
August- This was a fun month. We started off with a great "Barberie Family" reunion at Hist Thousand Hills. Ali and I traveled far and wide to get to the Allegheny Mtns. to attend. The next week we went to our annual Jeren family vacation at Hilton Head. After that Lans and I went on a week long trip to Paris. We also got to go to Normany for a D-Day historic tour. We both went on our first helicopter rides! It was a trip of a lifetime. Ali spent the week with Mimi and Aunt Lisa and Liam.
September, October, November- FOOTBALL GAMES! Trip to Ohio for Thanksgiving.
December- We finally made it over to tour the Biltmore at Christmas! We hosted Mimi and Puppo for a great Christmas week, and we visited The Greensboro Slacks and Ali's Nonny and Paw Paw for Christmas Day.
We look forward to a wonderful New Year!
